No posts for a long time! I have been on the phone (calls, sms) or online, eternally, trying to get to talk with my boyfriend who is here in town (it would have been more comfortable and less frustrating had he stayed back!) and that, I believe, is a completely legitimate excuse for the absence of posts ;). His mother celebrated her birthday recently and unfortunately I couldn't wish her in person on her birthday. Fortunately, it was her star birthday a few days back (I can never forget her star birthday - it falls on Hanuman Jayanthi ;) and I was all geared up to wish her along with a black forest cake which, I presumed, was her favourite as my boy friend had told me that she had wanted to get me one on her birthday and was feeling bad that I couldn't make it. Funnily, she thought that it was my favourite (it is, of course, my favourite, and I must have mentioned it some time during one of our long conversations over the phone) and had bought it for me. It was one of those oh-so-lovely moments! Being a smart woman, she served it with yummy ice cream ;) I must mention here about her love and passion for art and art de facts. I frankly admire the way she maintains the house (unlike me, I treat my room as I would treat a hotel room) like a temple/museum. Little pieces of conversation (for lack of a better term) from various parts of the world to which her family members have traveled, an incredible collection of ganesha statues, the silver coloured pen/paper stand next to the telephone where stationery and phone books are neatly arranged, the little sparrow in the hall (placed amidst beautiful crystals) which starts beeping for every small disturbance, the ganesha over the electricity board, the bells that keep clanking here and there, the list is endless. I felt so inspired that I started cleaning my house yesterday (a process that would go on for the next few days - another legitimate excuse for not writing regularly ;) and trying to make it look presentable! Of course, with a 16 year old bro around, this isn't going to work. There is no harm in trying, you would agree. :)
